The new boat was delivered in July 2017.
Training of crews continued into the Fall of 2017 with
anticipation of staffing the boat full time from the facilities
at Station 49 at 1015 Seabreeze Blvd.
The station houses Engine 49 and Rescue 49.
Ladder 13 is also part of the Marine Rescue Team.
Two smaller boats are also operated from the station as needed.

The Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Department Marine 49 is located behind
Fire Station 49 at 1015 Seabreeze Blvd in Ft Lauderdale.
The Boston Whaler is equipped with twin outboards and is
primarily a rescue response craft.
